How it works…
Our Zerobody Cryobed is a revolution for the world of Cold Therapy: innovative in its simplicity, safety and accessibility, it features a patented water membrane that wraps the body entirely without the need to get wet, at a functioning temperature of 4-6°C in a safe and non-invasive environment.
This bed makes the approach to Cold Water Therapy easier, resulting in the same benefits as the traditional cryotherapy or the immersion into an ice bath. Zerobody Cryo ensures a gradual exposure to the cold, offering users the complete comfort of dry floatation. This allows users to make the most of the advantages offered by cold water therapy with the versatility of this dry application.
Cold Water Therapy Benefits
Zerobody Cryo acts to reduce the surface skin temperature, stimulating the immune and metabolic system.
This causes a general state of well-being and specific physical and mental benefits:
- Easing of muscle and joint pain
- A reduction in inflammation
- Reduces stress levels
- Immune system activation and strengthening
- Promotion of fast and effective muscle recovery
- Enhanced circulation and skin rejuvenation
- Helps with weight loss
- Improves mood
- Improves overall wellbeing
Cold Water Therapy is now widely used in the sectors of beauty, sport and medicine. Physiotherapists often use topical ice application and cold-water immersion for muscle recovery and pain reduction, and many other types of health care providers, such as dietitians, personal trainers, athletic trainers and mental health professionals, also utilize cryotherapy and cold-water exposure as part of their treatment plans.
Background of Cryo:
Cold (cryo) treatment has an impact on our health: by cooling off the skin, muscle and joint pain is reduced, thus promoting recovery, and stimulating the production of endorphins, which in turn reduces the levels of stress.
Cold also acts on our metabolic activity, fighting cellulite and, according to recent studies, transforming white fat in brown fat, which is of paramount importance for our health and shape.
In sports, cold temperatures are employed to ensure effective recovery after physical activity and enhance the treatment of acute and sub-acute injuries.
In the beauty sector, cold has anti-ageing and reinvigorating effects on our skin. It also makes it more receptive to the active ingredients of specific lotions and products, which can penetrate deeper into the skin thanks to microcirculation and oxygenation increase ensured by the exposure to low temperatures.
How To Use Our Zerobody Cryobed:
Lie down on the bed on your back, pull the white membrane over your whole body from the left and then from the right leaving your head exposed (like you were pulling a blanket over you). The bed will then lower down and your treatment will start. Relax and concentrate on your breathing. All the benefits of an ice bath without the need to get wet!
N.B. For this therapy you can be clothed, naked or wear underwear.
Length of session: all cryobed sessions are 3-5 minutes long
Frequency of sessions: 2-3 times per week
Disclaimer: Always check with your GP before starting any new therapy to ensure it is safe for you. If there is any pain or discomfort during the treatment it should be discontinued immediately. Seek medical advice before continuing with the therapy. Our cryotherapy beds are not a medical device.
